Requested: Hair weave killa!

Weaves, weaves, weaves! Before I indulge in this topic, please don't take any offense to this post. I am NOT throwing shade at women who choose to wear weaves at all! Now let's talk..
Someone asked me why do I think women wear weaves. At first my inner mean girl wanted to reply "because they want to duh." I do stand by that answer but let's go deeper. I honestly think most women are attached to their weaves. Yes a mental obsession to having that hollywood image that weaves allow women to have. It is no secret that women have been conditioned to hate every physical feature that we have including our hair. "If you're black, your hair is too nappy. If you're asian, your hair is too fine. If you are hispanic, your hair is too wavy." Blah blah blah. (keep reading)
I remember being extremely attached to my weaves. I would literally cry if I had to take my weave out & wear my REAL hair out to school. It wasn't healthy & I kept getting the "you spend too much $$ on weave hair" speech. I don't think there is anything seriously wrong with wearing a weave once and a while but when it becomes something that you feel like you need to look beautiful then that's a problem. When I first decided to go natural I was kind of embarrassed because I didn't know how to take care of my own hair. I think that's where the problem lies with weave attachments. Instead of taking the time to learn how to care for the hair growing out of your head, you cover it up with tracks and glue. Mhmm. Like I said before I'm not trying to throw shade at women who wear weaves, I just want women to embrace who they are naturally. I'm sure your boo would rather run his fingers through your hair than have you yell "don't touch my weave!" (keep reading)
I'm honestly kind of scared to get another weave. I LOVE my natural hair but what if I lose myself in the process of wearing the weave & revert back to using it as a crutch? It sounds crazy but it has happened before. Stay blessed & comment below :)

P.S. Thank you to Zanay for giving me this topic to indulge in!
